You work directly with Paul. No AI coaching system or app to keep up with. Just personal support, honest conversations and commitments we can review together.
01
Talk about where you are
We start with a free intro call. Tell me what you want to change, what’s been difficult and what sort of support would help.
02
Agree the support and the cost
We decide what we’re working on, how we’ll keep in touch and what’s included. Any in-person time and mileage are agreed before you commit.
03
Put the next step into your week
We turn your goal into practical actions. That could mean a workout plan, a gym visit, a business decision or making time to deal with something you’ve been avoiding.
04
Check in and adjust
I follow up on what we agreed. We review what happened, address what got in the way and adjust the plan as you make progress.
HONEST SUPPORT. PRACTICAL ACTION.
I’ll meet you where you are. Then we get to work.
I’m direct, but you’re a person, not a checklist. We’ll find an approach that works with your personality and mindset.
WAYS I CAN HELP
Support for real life.
Fitness may be where we start. It doesn’t have to be the only thing we talk about.
I’m happy to help where I reasonably can. We’ll agree the scope, and I’ll be clear about anything outside my experience.
If walking into a public gym feels intimidating, I’m happy to go with you for company and encouragement. We can work out alongside each other so you don’t have to face it alone. This is gym companionship, not a coached PT session.
My time and mileage must be covered. We’ll agree the location, availability and costs before arranging a visit, and check the gym’s access requirements.
02
Workout ideas and a weekly plan
If you don’t know where to start, I can provide general workout plans and a simple weekly structure, with gradual progression as you build consistency. We’ll review how the week went and what you can realistically commit to next.
I don’t provide direct personal training, technique coaching, injury rehabilitation or clinical exercise programmes. Where you need that expertise, I can help with a boxing coach or PT referral.
03
Food habits and everyday choices
I can offer general food advice, help you think through meals and routines, and support you in putting healthier habits into practice. We can work around guidance you’ve already received for your health situation.
I’m not a dietitian and don’t prescribe diets to treat health conditions. If you have type 2 diabetes or another condition, dietary changes should be guided by your healthcare team or a registered dietitian.
04
A business sounding board
Sometimes you need to talk an issue through with someone outside it. Drawing on my business experience, I can offer friendly advice, help you research options and weigh up practical next steps.
We can untangle the problem, challenge assumptions and turn a long list of worries into a manageable set of decisions. You stay in charge; specialist legal, financial or tax questions belong with the relevant professional.
05
Support when life feels heavy
You can talk to me about the struggles that are making it difficult to move forward. I’ll listen, help you clear your head and work with you on a next step that feels manageable.
This is personal support and a sounding board, not counselling, therapy or crisis care. I’ll be honest when something needs support beyond what I can offer.
06
Direct accountability that fits you
I’m a straight-talking person. If we agree that something matters, I’ll expect us to do something about it. I’ll ask difficult questions when they’re needed and recognise the effort you put in.
People respond differently to support. I’ll do my best to adapt to your personality and mindset, with clear expectations and respect. A direct approach should help you move forward, not make you feel belittled.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Your questions, straight answers.
Here’s what to expect from working with me. If there’s something else on your mind, ask me directly.
How do we get started?+
Use the contact form to request a free intro call. Tell me a little about what you want help with, and I’ll reply by email to arrange a time. We’ll talk about your goals and whether my approach is a good fit before you commit.
Can you come to the gym with me if I’m shy?+
Yes. I’m happy to join you at a public gym for company and support, subject to availability, location and the gym’s rules. I can work out alongside you, but I won’t be delivering a personal training session. My time and mileage must be covered and agreed beforehand.
Are you a personal trainer?+
No. I don’t offer direct PT training or technique coaching. My role is motivation, companionship, general workout planning and accountability. If you need personal training or boxing instruction, I can help with a referral to a boxing coach and PT.
Can you give me workouts and a week-by-week plan?+
Yes. I can provide general workouts and a weekly plan to help you get started and build consistency, with gradual progression rather than trying to do everything at once. If you have an injury, a health condition or are unsure how to perform an exercise, get appropriate professional guidance before starting.
Can you help with food choices if I have type 2 diabetes?+
I can support everyday habits and help you follow advice from your healthcare team. There isn’t one carbohydrate allowance or diet that suits everyone with type 2 diabetes. I don’t prescribe a diabetes diet or advise on medication. For guidance on what to eat, speak to your healthcare team or a registered dietitian. Read Diabetes UK’s guidance on eating with type 2 diabetes.
Can we talk about business or personal problems?+
Yes. I can be a sounding board, help you explore options and offer friendly advice from lived and business experience. We’ll be clear about what I can help with and when a specialist would be more appropriate.
Will your approach be too tough for me?+
I’m direct and focused on action, but I’ll listen to how you work best. We can discuss the kind of encouragement and challenge you find useful. I won’t promise that every conversation will be comfortable, but the aim is to help you, not shame you.
What does it cost, including travel?+
We’ll agree the price, what support is included and how we’ll keep in touch before you start. For gym visits or other agreed in-person support, my time and mileage must be covered. We’ll discuss those costs in advance; no mileage rate or package price is being quoted here.
Where are you based, and how often do we speak?+
I’m based in Derbyshire. We’ll agree the location or way of keeping in touch, frequency of check-ins and availability around the support you’re looking for. In-person arrangements depend on travel and availability; this isn’t a round-the-clock service.
What happens if I miss a workout or have a difficult week?+
We talk honestly about what happened, look at what got in the way and agree your next step. Sometimes that means a smaller plan. The point is to keep moving towards your goal without pretending that the rest of life has stopped.
ONE USEFUL CONVERSATION
What do you need help moving forward with?
Tell me where you’re stuck. We’ll talk honestly about how I can help.
